The Race Team - GV Racing

GV Racing was founded at the start of 2009 by racing drivers Jacob Greaves and Michael Vergers.
Jacob, son of Radical Motorsport share holder Tim Greaves, started racing in Radicals , winning the 2006 Radical world cup with the help of now business partner Michael and also made his debut in the Radical LMP2 car at Silverstone in 2007. He has since stopped his racing to concentrate his efforts in his position as Team manager of the Bruichladdich Radical LMP2 team and now taking a similar position within the GV Racing team.

Michael is and has been racing for over 20 years. This year sees him racing in the Le Mans Series aboard a GT2 Ferrari but his career has seen him racing in single seaters, GTs, Saloons, Sportscars and as far afield as Oval racing in America. Michael won 5 championships, amongst them the 1990 British RAC Formula Ford Championship as well as the Le Mans Series LMP2 Championship in 2006. With 65 wins from 340 races, his career has allowed him to gain an invaluable and complete picture of what is required to achieve success.

This, with the knowledge of his business partner Jacob Greaves, gives GV Racing the initial background to success.

GV Racing purchased two ex Jamun 2008 Mygales at the beginning of 2009. An extensive overhaul and upgrading program was set upon at its premises in Peterborough in preparation for an assault on the 2009 British Formula Ford Duratec Championship. The team opted for the Scholar prepared 1600cc Duratec engines and Swedish damper manufacturer Ohlins and all the other equipment necessary was acquired.

The teams 1st driver would be 16 year old Spanish driver Jordi Cunill, racing as a single GV Racing entry for the Oulton Park and Rockingham rounds. Chrissy Palmer joined GV Racing for the Knockhill and Snetterton rounds. To date both cars have tasted victory and podiums as well as getting the teams 1st one two at Snetterton. GV Racing are happy to have signed up Josh Benson to race along side Jordi for the rest of the season.
