Formula Ford 1600

BRSCC Formula Ford National Championship 2008

Formula Ford is the quintessential jewel in the crown of single seater racing. Many successful racing drivers have started their careers here, including Formula 1 stars such as Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher, Mark Webber, Jenson Button and Anthony Davidson.

Club Formula Ford caters for the highly supported ‘Kent’ engined Formula Ford cars which now have a national and two regional areas to race.

Racing is tough, close and very competitive and has proved to be the ideal training ground for young drivers breaking into circuit racing. The Club Formula Ford Championship allows options to race in the Kent 1600 classes and offers variations of circuits, particularly favouring the North West and Midlands.
